AdvantaStaff is looking to hire a Machine Laser Operator in the East Henrico starting at $20 per hour or based on experience. This is a temp to hire position with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and more once eligibility requirements are met. This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience operating fabricating machines such as press brakes, laser cutters, and other machinery as required that cut, shape and bend metal plates for the production of an array of products.
Pay: $20.00/hr                                                                                                                                                       
Hours/Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 2:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and understand English
• Capable of performing standard measurements. Ability to read a tape measure, protractor, square (in American measurements).
• Ability to use other measuring devices.
• Ability to read drawings and sketches
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Good math skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of previous experience operating heavy production/fabrication machinery.  Level of position will vary depending upon years of experience. 
• Machinery used includes Forklift, grinder, drill motor, pallet jack, Laser CNC
• Press brake, Automatic Saw/Band, Robotic Welder, Amada Punch Press, Forklift

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Use hands or fingers to handle or feel
• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Stand and walk on a concrete surface, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and Climb up to 8 feet
• Work is performed in a loud manufacturing environment
• Work around fumes or airborne particles, also work with toxic and or caustic chemicals

Position has the following vision requirements:

• Close vision, ability to distinguish colors and shades of color,  and ability to adjust focus
