AdvantaStaff is looking to hire Machine Operators for the Manufacturing/Research & Development in the Colonial Heights area at $23 per hour. The ideal candidate for this role would be an individual with a background in manufacturing and inspecting product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements. This is a Temporary work assignment starting May 18^th throughout the summer (3-4 months)
All candidates must be open to working a 24/7 (Day/Night) rotating shift operation.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment.
• Record and report production, quality, and downtime data
• Analyze data and production reports to make appropriate adjustments
• Execute Set up and changeover of equipment
• Work in operations requiring bending, lifting, and repetitive continuous motion
• Work in hot, cold, or dirty environments
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Execute life critical procedures such as equipment isolation and LOTO
• Maintain work area for operation and cleanliness
• Comply with all safety rules.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
• Ability to work rotating Days/Nights 12Hr Dupont Schedule Required
• High School Diploma/GED or Strong Basic Literacy and Math Skills
• Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of work
• Must be able to report to work on time (5 lates/absences will lead to termination)
• Good Hand/Eye Coordination
• Self-Starter with “Can-Do” Attitude who easily work within a team
• Driven, motivated learner with strong problem?solving skills
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, etc)
• 4 to 6 Month Assignment with option for full time employment for high performers

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively
• Normal lifting requirements are 50lbs
• Operate moving equipment
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments
• Willing to work in heights
• Candidate required to pass a drug test and criminal background check
• Steel toe shoes required
