AdvantaStaff is looking to hire Packaging Associates for  2nd shift in the Colonial Heights area at $17.50 per hour. This is a temp to fulltime position with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and more once eligibility requirements are met. The primary job tasks for this position will be to perform inspection and proper handling/packaging of products to ensure that quality products are being produced for customers.  

PROOF OF VACCINATION IS REQUIRED
(proof of 1st shot will be acceptable)

Pay:
$17.50/ hour 2nd shift

Hours/Schedule:
7pm – 7am 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Safety, Quality and Production Goals

• Quality product inspections

• Staging of packaging materials

• Carton packing

• Case packing

• Waste removal/disposal

• Case label application

• Performing rework

• Area cleanliness – maintaining a clean work area at all times

• Participating in company improvement projects

Job Qualifications:

Education

• High School graduate and/or GED

Experience

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Math, locating information, reading information, teamwork, and observation skills.

Required experience

Manufacturing: 1 year

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Repetitive lifting & bending
• Standing for 12 hours
• Minimum up to 6 pallets per hour (180 boxes per hour possible)
• Manual labor-fast paced/constant work
• Temperature about 50 degrees
• Will need steel toe BOOTS (boots only)
