AdvantaStaff is looking to hire a Packaging Technician in the Richmond Manchester area starting at minimum $18 per hour. This is a part-time temp seasonal position. This position requires packaging tech ensures that all daily packaging activities on the bottling and can lines are executed safely.  Applicant must be able to lift and palletize boxes (50lbs) and stand on your feet for the entirety of the shift (6-7 hours)
Pay: $18 p/hr
Hours/Schedule: Monday – Tuesday (some Wednesdays) 1 Hour Lunch Break
8:00am – 3:00pm (additional days added to schedule when needed)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

• Operate our bottling and canning lines
• Assemble packaging containers for bottles and cans
• Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on assigned stations
• Follow SOPs to ensure that products are produced and packaged consistently

TEAM MEMBER

• Work to achieve production/distribution goals and metrics
• Assist Production team in identifying and solving bottlenecks
• Adhere to all safety precautions, rules, and guidelines
• Assist with day-to-day distillery organization, cleanliness, and maintenance
• Assist with all team needs where applicable

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Have excellent attention to detail, follow through, and commitment to quality
• Have a willingness to work a changing schedule, including overtime, to meet
• Deadlines as needed
• The ability to multitask, with strong time management skills and an attention to detail required
• Good people skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and
• Perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists
• Previous forklift experience not required

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Must be 21+
• This is an active role where you are required you to be on your feet for the entire shift
• 2-3 days a week Oct and Nov. Possible additional hours in Dec. 

Job Qualifications:

• Forklift experience is a must a plus but not necessary
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• At least 1 year working in manufacturing

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively and unassisted
• Operate moving equipment
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped/dusty/noisy environments
• Candidate may be required to pass a drug test and Criminal background check
