AdvantaStaff is looking to hire a PLC Programming Specialist in the Chesterfield area with a starting salary of $80,000 to $100,000 per year. This is a temporary to full-time position with the potential for direct hire immediately for a well-qualified candidate. Benefits once hired are health insurance, paid time off, and more once eligibility requirements are met.

Pay:
$80,000 – $100,000 per year
Responsibilities:

• Expert computer programmer with multiple PLC familiarity
• Developing machine controls in  IEC 61131-3 (Omron)
• Provide real-time phone support to technicians in the field
• Translate the requirements and wishes of the customer into a technical design for an automation system
• Testing, adjusting, and maintaining new and existing software, also on location
• Train customers on equipment operation and optimization
• Train service technicians for commissioning and troubleshooting

Requirements:

• 25% travel is required
• International travel required for training (Passport needed)
• Thorough knowledge of PLCs/IEC 61131-3 and experience with servos and HMIs
• Knowledge of hardware engineering, Linux, and robotics is an advantage
• Willingness to occasionally work at the customer’s location
