AdvantaStaff is looking to hire a Boxing-Shipping Tech in the Scott’s Addition/Richmond area starting at minimum $15 per hour. This is a temp to hire position with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and more once eligibility requirements are met. This position requires shipping tech to assemble and box all beds & furniture manufactured. Work with shipping coordinator to stage items to be shipped daily.  Receive all parts and return paperwork to proper location. Participate in deliveries when needed and assist moving furniture for photography.

Pay: $15 p/hr *based on experience

Hours/Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Able to identify beds (specific models)
• Assembly of beds and attachments
• Use of power tools, saws, etc.
• Knowledge of what is need on each bed
• Safely load and unload trucks, trailers, etc.
• Coordinate and meet daily shipping goals
• Handle all beds; various sizes
• Accurately read measuring tape
• Housekeeping area daily
• Strong Communication Skills
• Attention to Detail
• Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable

Job Qualifications:

• Three to six months related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.
• Forklift experience is a must.
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• 1 to 3 years working in manufacturing

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively and unassisted

• Operate moving equipment

• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped/dusty/noisy environments

• Candidate may be required to pass a drug test and Criminal background check based on job location/requirements.
